Closer Closer Closer!

So my file is in the Peace Corps placement office! This means I'm medically (and mentally) cleared--they're just picking the place. I'm excited all over again!

Romance=Peter Cetera

Just in time for Valentine's Day--my thoughts on romance.

The most romantic things:
1) A good love song by Peter Cetera (with or without Chicago). My personal fave is "Glory of Love."
2) An exotic chocolate assortment. Whitman's doesn't cut it. Hint-if you can't get it at Walgreens it's probably good.
3) The movie "While You Were Sleeping"
4) Falling in love with your best friend (not that this has ever happened to me but I hope someday it does).
5) Vincent d'Onofrio as Detective Robert Goran on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"
6) Visiting Dun Aegus at sunset. It faces due west on Inishmoor, Aran Islands, Ireland.
7) The song "Johanna" from Sweeney Todd as performed by Nathan Gunn in LOC's 2002 production.
8) A pile of rose petals just for me to wallow in.
9) A vat of liquid chocolate just for me to wallow in.
10) Um, can I repeat number 9?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Port-au-Prince, November 29, 2006--This is me with Bishop Duracin, the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti. A man of gracious words and hospitality, he will be instrumental in helping HMP (Haiti-Micah Project) get funding from ERD (Episcopal Relief and Development) for the building phase of the project. His wife, Mme. Duracin, later served us a lovely lunch at the seminary. More on Haiti soon, I hope!
